I gave my students some summer 'homework'.  I had made a set of apostle
cards

each of them and ask them to learn to identify them - name with photo -  and
learn them in order of seniority.  I spoke with each set of parents as well.
I'm sure not all of them will have done it - however I planned to use the
lesson as part of my seminary fireside that I'm holding for the students and
their parents just before school starts.  When I first read about this in
the post I was trying to find - I was impressed about the fact that so few
of my students could probably identify very many of the 12's voices.  I'm
going to really work on this through the year.  I've got a laptop and I've
downloaded conference talks from each of the brethren and I plan to use a
short snippet each week (I teach home study).  Hopefully by the end of the
year they'll be able to identify them by just their voices.

Jeanette - I was wondering, and I'm sure others are as well, how you are
going to use this?  What D&C lesson will this work with?  I'm always looking
for interactive ideas and this is a good one.

I've just spent an hour searching the archives and can't find the answer to
my question - hoping one of you can help.  I remember someone telling about
a lesson they did where they started by playing music clips of famous
singers.  They had the kids identify them by their voices.  Then they played
voice clips of the apostles  and talked about our priorites.  Sound familiar
to anyone?
