I invite you to review the entire article.  Norm setting can be the most
important thing you do, ensuring a successful road map for learning
throughout the year.  You in essence make a contract with your students that
promotes good teaching and learning. When things go bad, you fall back to
the contract and reset everyone's expectations.  Powerful stuff.
