Bonjour! Guten Tag!! Buongiorno!!! Hola!!!! and Greetings!!!!! from the beautiful mountains of Northern Utah. I absolutely LOVE to learn and my current passion is learning languages. After mastering French, Italian, German and Spanish, which will take at least ONE lifetime, I plan to learn Latin, Greek and Hebrew which I dabble in every once in awhile.
I am the eternal companion to the best man on earth and the very blessed mother of six incredible children (3 sons, 3 daughters) and 3 phenomenal grandchildren (actually 2 granddaughters and 1 grandson in February 2009).
I have homeschooled my brilliant children since the birth of my first child, a total of 27 years, with public and private schools being used as a resource. During that time, I enjoyed creating learning aides and curriculum for my children and others to enjoy.
My past passions have included several home businesses such as Discovery Toys, Pampered Chef, Stampin' Up! and teaching stamping classes. I have also edited webpages for Law.com, Scrapbook.com and entered text for Baldwin Online Children's Literature Project. In my spare time, I have earned a Bachelor's degree in Natural Health from Clayton College. Earning this degree whetted my appetite for more knowledge in herbal remedies, chakras, essential oils, reflexology, music and light therapy, etc.
I absolutely adore curling up with a good book especially when it is cold and rainy or the snow is falling. A few of my favorites at the moment are: Cold Comfort Farm by Stella Gibbons, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer, The Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini and The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis
My MOST favorite activity is to feast upon my scriptures. I enjoy defining words, cross referencing, making lists, finding antecedents, asking questions, placing quotes, etc. I have found the " Annotated Scriptures" by Barbara Gardner, here at Latter-day Village to be priceless in my quest to extend my knowledge and understanding.
I love working with computers in any form: software, hardware and any other kind of 'ware' I can get my hands on. I worked so extensively on computers in the past that my youngest child thought my name was 'Motherboard' for quite some time. Currently, I am trying to master Photoshop CS3 which I use in the creation of digital scrapbooks and the Prophets of the Church lessons you find here at Latter-day Village.
I hope these lessons meet your needs. I would love to hear any compliments, concerns or suggestions you would like to share with me.
Salut! Tchau!! Ciao!!! Adios!!!! Shalom!!!!!
Remember to Enjoy the Journey!!!!!!
