How to Use and Print

Each monthly calendar is an Adobe PDF file and will open in Adobe Acrobat Reader. Click here to download the latest version of the free Adobe Acrobat Reader.

EDITING YOUR CALENDAR

To add your own custom entries, when the monthly calendar opens, place your cursor in the box on any date and begin typing. Add birthdays, special events and other reminders. The fields may appear as blue boxes or not be visible - there is a "Highlight Fields" toggle button near the top on the right side of the window that you can click to switch the field highlighting on and off. It may be easier to have the fields highlighted while you are adding your own text - the blue highlights will not be printed out.

SAVING YOUR CALENDAR EDITS

You should save your edited calendar by clicking on the File menu and selecting Save As. This will open a Save As box where you can decide what directory on your computer the file will be saved in, and additionally you may change the name of the file, which we recommend you do. We recommend that you make a folder for your calendars in a place on your hard drive you will always be able to find them and edit them. Such as C:\MyDocuments\Church\ReliefSociety\Calendars and give them a name such as 2008JanuaryEdited.pdf

The Sample calendars cannot be saved, but they can be printed.

PRINTING YOUR CALENDAR

At the bottom right corner of each calendar is a small PRINT button. After you have saved your edited calendar and are ready to print, you just press that button and select the number of copies you want to print. You may choose to print enough color copies for each person, or you may print one copy and use it as a master to print in the library on the copy machine.

EDITING A SAVED CALENDAR

Once you save your edited calendar, you can open it again and continue to edit. Save As again to save new changes.

PLANNERS/NEWSLETTERS & OTHER FORMS

The same methods can be used on planners/newsletters and any other forms included in this collection. There are editable fields next to each item on the form where you can type in your own text. Once you have filled in the form as desired, choose Save As from the file menu - save it with a custom name in the directory of your choice, then click the PRINT button to print out your edited form.
