IDEAS & INSTRUCTIONS There are several methods for using the images in this collection in your own projects. PDF Projects - there are several ready-to-print projects that will open in Adobe Acrobat Reader - just print on the desired paper and trim as needed. Use white paper, cardstock or photo paper. PRINT FROM BROWSER - Click on a thumbnail image to open the full-size image in your browser. You can print an image directly from your browser window. Depending on what browser you use, the details may vary. Most browsers, like Internet Explorer or Netscape have a Print Preview option that you can select from the "File" menu. This may allow some adjusting of size. Be sure to put the type of paper in your printer that you want to print on. OPEN IN GRAPHICS EDITING PROGRAM Launch the graphics editing program. Choose "Open" from your "File" menu. Navigate to the folder where your images are stored. Select the image you wish to edit and click on OK/Open OR - drag the image from your browser window into your work space and release the mouse button - the image file will open in the graphics program. Use your program however you are familiar with it to arrange, size, crop, add text, photos etc to your collection image. Save any changes under a new filename. You can print directly from this program, or insert the graphic into a document in another program. INSERT IMAGE IN A DOCUMENT Launch your document software program, such as Word, Publisher, WordPerfect, etc. Whatever method you typically use to insert an image can be used with collection images. OR - drag the image from your browser window into your document and release the mouse button, the image will be inserted at that point in your document. OR - copy and paste the image from your browser into your document. Then you can size, format etc - as needed. Each program handles graphics a little differently. LAYERING IMAGES - the backgrounds are jpg files. The embellishments are PNG files with transparent backgrounds. This means you could have the background in the . . . BACKGROUND, with buttons, frames, tags or lines layered on top. Because the embellishments have transparent backgrounds, the underlying graphic will show through all around the button/tag. Add text and other embellishments PRINTING SCRAPBOOK PAGES If you have a wide format printer, you can print them at home Use archival 12x12 white paper If you do not have a wide format printer, save to a CD and take to your local copy center for wide format printing on archival paper - Kinko's and Walmart often have these services.
