Printing Instructions

The color images in this collection can be inserted into any document for any software program that allows images to be included. The images are JPEG and PNG files that are compatible with most software programs such as Microsoft Word, WordPerfect, Publisher, PrintShop, etc. They are designed to be printed in color.

Click on a link and right click on the image to choose copy - then go to any document and paste the image in where you can place it and size it as needed, according to your software program. Or you can use your software program instructions for inserting images. Adjust the size and arrange them on the page as desired. The images are at a high resolution and are designed to be printed at a 8.5" x 11" size, in portrait orientation, unless otherwise designated - and can be sized smaller to fit more on a page or larger, according to your needs. You can fit three bookmarks on a page, or two notecards.

The elements are PNG images with transparent backgrounds so you can layer them in your projects without having a white box around them that overlaps text and other graphics. These are great for making up your own scrapbook pages or handouts, newsletters or posters.

Many programs will allow you to format images so they go behind text, allowing you to type in text on top of the image - to customize a project - such as using the notecards to invite the girls or their parents to an event, or to write them a special note. You can add your own text within your software program before printing, or hand print your own message after printing. To overlay text on top of an image, refer to your software program instructions for text wrap or image layout. Often there is an option to place the image "behind text."

Before printing from a graphics program or an internet browser, please use "print preview" to be sure that the image is the size you want. Most programs have a way to reduce or enlarge the size of the image before printing.

Paper Selection

You can print on white paper, or on white cardstock, depending on the desired result. Bookmarks, cards, gift tags and boxes should be printed on cardstock. Envelopes may be best on regular paper. You may want to print on vellum or print on cardstock and overlay with a sheet of vellum and paper punch holes in each and attach with a ribbon. Using a colored/textured/patterned paper can change the coloring of the images and give an undesireable effect. But layering the print outs with other decorative paper can be a lovely way to add impact to a scrapbook page or frame etc.

Print Quality

For best results, set your print quality to the highest setting.

Sample

The sample scrapbook page above was created with this collection. It uses three papers that are layered to and a stationary paper to make frames for the photographs, with a little button element and text art.

There is no limit to what you can do, and with the coordinated designs, whatever combination you choose, it will look great!

You can build your finished page in a graphics program, or print the pages out and use traditional clipping, cropping and adhesive methods to acheive the look you are after. Either way, you are not limited to a pre-defined paper package - you can print exactly what you need.
