We are very excited about a new subscription service we are preparing. Barbara Gardner is well known to the members of our free teachldsseminary email list. She has been a valued site and list contributor over the years. Putting her research talents to work, she created cross-referenced and annotated scripture works, which go way beyond the normal index or topical guide by linking in resources from seminary and institue manuals, prophet teachings and other general authority sources. You can enjoy a special preview of her Annotated Book of Mormon for the next few weeks. Seminary teachers; you will definely want to check this out!
Barb is hard at work on the Doctrine & Convenants version, which is cross-referenced (linked) to the Comprehensive History of the Church and other sources. See the LDV Annotated Scriptures Home Page for more details.
Seminary Corner
Our R.E.D. silicone bracelets are a highly popular and effective tool to reinforce daily scripture reading. Seminary teachers, kick off a summer Doctrine & Covenants reading program by passing out R.E.D. bracelets along with a challenge to read the D&C over the summer. Print a copy of the official D&C reading chart, and then tell students to read four weeks of chapters per week to complete the entire course this summer. Add some R.E.D. items to your ward or branch meeting bulletins over the summer as quick reminders. Or follow up by passing out a stick of Big Red gum as you see students over the summer. Paid subscribers: see our Teaching Scripture Study category for many more R.E.D. ideas.

Fantastic Scripture Search Books
Tim says: "I did not realize how fantastic Debra's two Primary scripture search books were until I processed an order for one. As I casually flipped through the pages, I realized how much more scripture saavy young members would be if these ideas where used in sharing time activities or to augment classroom instruction. They teach the use of standard scripture resources like the topical guide, dictionary, etc., which are skills I did not see in many of the freshmen seminary students I taught. Start them early on the path to scripture mastery and understanding!"
Purchase either of Debra's primary scripture search books and we will throw in a $1.89 free sheet of FUN STR stickers! Buy both and we will add an additional sheet of regular STR stickers, a total of $5.67 in free stickers!
